If you open a word file off a network drive, and then do a saveas to a new file, the original file remains locked until you close the new file. We have found this to be the case with our Word 2003. This seems like a bug to me, and it seems like there should be a better answer ...

Can anyne help, I have a macro in a word document that is used to create extra copies(different page headers), when the sheet is protected(only certain cells are completed by the user) the marco will not run..how can i get round this.

Is it possible to print the formatting marks in Microsoft Word? I know how to turn on the formatting marks in word, but when I print, they don't show up. I want to print them for editing. Is this possible or is it a printer issue?
