When I opened a file in word 97 a drop down would list appear and list all
the recent files used with a similar name.
Is there anyway to activate this in word 2003?

My menu toolbar stopped working; I was wondering how did I somehow disable it.

i found office clipboard to be quite useful and to date unthinkingly i have
launched word 2003 just so i can have the office clipboard available for use
(even though i may not be using office suite at the time). i am wondering

I'm trying to save a Word file to CD and I get an error message telling me I
am not authorized to do so and I should see my administrator. I am the only
user of this home computer! What do I do? I'm new to Word and finding it very
frustrating.

WHEN I TRY TO PRINT MORE THAN ONE ENVELOPE WITHIN THE SAME DOCUMENT I GET THE
FOLLOWING MESSAGE:
"MARGINS OF SECTION 1 ARE OUTSIDE THE PRINTABLE AREA OF THE PAGE"
ANY WAY TO WORK AROUND THIS WITHOUT EXITING THE PROGRAM EACH TIME?

I am currently using word 2002 sp2, and documents that were created using an
older version of word have FILENAME fields in them, when this field updates
word adds the file extension into the field.  I would like this not to
happen. Any help?

I would like to find a Form/Template to use to fill out with basic
information to send to Sales/Junk Mailers/Vendors/Advertises to be removed
from thier mailing list. One basic and the other very stern meaning business.

How does permanently uncheck markup in view so it doesn't come one everytime
word is run?  Unchecking the option security tab has no effect.

For some reason, Word isn't asking if I want to save the document when I
close it.  I'd like it to prompt and ask if I'd like to save the document or

The toolbars seem to move around I just want to lock them in place but can't
find the command or option.

I copy a page from my corporate website that has hyperlinks in this one
particular column. The rest of the columns and rows only have text and no
links. When I copy and paste it into word I can remove the hyperlinks one by
one by right clicking. Sometimes this column has 60 rows ...

I swear that my last laptop displayed all MS Word documents with
cleartype style "font smoothing" when in Print Layout view, but NOTHING
ELSE on my computer EVER used any font smoothing.  My old laptop was
completely up to date with all MS software.  XP SP2, and MS Office

When I insert a CGM file in a document first it does not appear.  If I left
click and select Edit Picture part of it will appear but a lot of the file is
missing.  Files made in previous versions of Word also are missing parts that
were originally in the picture.

When I protect a document or portions of it,  I cannot update the TOC (unless
I unprotect the document first). Oddly enough, the lists of tables and
figures update just fine even when the document is in a protected state, but
the TOC won't update until I remove protection. Any ...

I am an Artist and I always used the font "Brockscript" when I typed a
contract. Why don't you offer it anymore on Windows 2003? Also, there is
another font that a friend of mine mentioned to me called, "Fitolex Girls".
