Document that contain graphics created in word 2000 will not open in 2003, I

Whenever I open a template in Word 97 I get the error message " run-time
error 424 object required" I then have the option to "debug" but all I get is

Actually this is happening with Word, PPT, and Excel.  The program launches
fine, but when I go to open a document the whole program freezes and I'm
unable to do anything further.  This just started happening.  I've
uninstalled and re-installed it and it didn't help.

Ok I have a weird one here.  I have had several users open word documents and

Recently, after downloading several ms updates, using ms word, I am unable to
"save as" files or close folders.  The only way that I can get out of a
folder is to use "end program" from the task manager.  I can only surmize

When i type in some text and then on the next paragraph i add a long line by
pressing shift and hyphon, then when i press enter the line is attached to

I can only launch ms word in the safe mode (it goes there automatically

What happen to my "Update Table of Contents" dialog box ? - It does not
