I have a watermark inserted using the Format --> Background --> Printed Watermark function. On the screen it looks great. But when I print, the watermark isn't semitransparent (as I have set) - it is black and it obscures the text.

I have several appendices that I have added autotext in the footer. I would like that text to be reflected in the table of contents Example: On the first page of Appendix A, the autotext is A- (which is right before the page number).

Does anyone know where I can find converters for Word 2003. In earlier versions I was able to save as 'text with layout' to upload a text file to the mainframe (a SAS dataset). I don't see that option in Word 2003. Is there a work-around?

In order to get a paragraph mark I have been using Insert, Symbol, locate and highlight the paragraph mark and insert. I have also found that I can turn the Number Lock on and use Alt+0182. Then, someone informed me I can also use Alt+20 to get the paragraph mark.

Why can I not write over what I highlight in Microsoft word. I am always able to do that, except at this computer, and cannot figure out why. Instead of typing over the highlighted text it just writes before it.. and it does not matter if OVR is on or off.
