How to override the track changes default?

I have read several posts with the same or similar problem, but I was not
sure if it was exactly the same.
I have un-installed MS Office Small Business and re-installed.  Then I
followed the directions and installed all available downloads from the web.  

I am trying to insert a picture into a header in a Word Doc.  I can get it to
appear on the monitor but when I print the Doc tne picture is not there.  
What am I doing wrong?

I need to vertically align some columns in a word document I have, but I need
align them separately.  As it is, if I try to set vertical alignment in page
setup it does the alignment for the entire page, and not an individual
column.  Does anyone know how to do this for a column ...

Whenever anyone in our company opens a .DOT template and then saves the
document as a new file, the document will maintain a path to that template as
a reference.

I down loaded two microsoft updates yesterday. Now in Microsoft Word if I go
to:
Insert, Picture, form File, word stays in loop. The hour glass stays on
until I go the X out the program (X on right upper side) Then a new screen

I use word a lot - I leave it open all the time and minimized.  The new
version seems to close automatically when it is not being used.  Does anyone
have a solution for this?
