The toolbar styles and formatting combobox in MS Word is rather narrow. Styles with long names are cutoff and forces you to open the "Styles and Formatting" panel. It would be nice to be able to expand this combobox. Thanks

After an update re-boot, Word refuses to access the network drive assigned to the user as a default file folder, and only this user. even removed and re-installed Office. Checked rights, all in order. Hints anyone?

We are working on Word 2003 under Windows XP. I have created a series of templates for users on my network. I mapped their workgroup templates so that they could all access the shared templates. Last week I created a toolbar and copied it over to all the shared templates.

How can I change the default location for data sources. I've gone Tools| Options, however that is not one of the file locations listed? I'm using Word 2000. Thanks for any help.

I pressed "ctrl+alt+-", and it gave me a funny cursor (a bold horizontal line). Then, I clicked on Insert, then Symbol. When I clicked on Symbol, the weird cursor made Symbol go away. Now, I don't know how to get it back, and I need to insert a Symbol.

I've marked my copy by selecting Alt.Shift O feature. When I go to where I want to insert the TOC, I get: " TOC \O "1-4" \H \Z \U" and nothing else. In playing with it, I can right click it and toggle the field codes, which then turn to text, but the text that appears is not ...

"save as" has been working fine in the past for me, but for some reason i can't use "save as" to save my documents to my usb anymore. everytime i want to save the document, and i click on the usb link in the folder, the system stops. Then the screen goes "save as not ...

Perhaps coincidentally since an automatic Microsoft upgrade during the night I am no longer able to save word documents. As soon as I try the application stops responding. Even with a blank document.
