I can get a smiley face using :-) but can't get one using :).  Anyone have
this problem.  How is it corrected?

The number is underlined and the text is also, but I want a continuous line
from the number to the end of text in the outline number.

I know I should be able to turn off word wrap, like you can in Notepad, but I
have not been able to locate this option? Please help.

I recently installed Word 2003 as a part of MS Office Professional, then
updated to SP2.  Word 2003 now freezes every time I try to open or save a
document, or access any folder from the Options/File Location screen.  There
may be other times it freezes that I have not discovered ...

Recently WORD has frozen when I have tried to use "save as".  My Docs
properties keeps shifting to "Read Only" is this part of the problem?  
Suggestions?

Is there a way to combine several word documents into one document, without
having to cut and paste contents? I'm not talking about mail merge. I have
several independent documents that contain study guides for a college course
that I would like to combine into a single document. ...

I've installed the Word 2003 redaction add-in, and my system meets all the
requirements; however, each time I use the tool, I receive the following
error:
"There was an error redacting your document.  Please try again later."

I have created word documents using XP and when these documents are opened
with 97 the images are flipped.

I would like to create a poster that has large letters on it that are
colorful with a dark black outline.  I don't know how to use both outline and
a solid color in text.

I finished a manuscript with endnotes numbered by its occurence in the text
(as a default in MS Word), but the journal that I'd like to send it out says

I can't open files using file open command, I get a responsonse of "program
not responding" also it happens when I try to save an open file from a folder
using the "save as" command.
Yet if I save the document in "My Documents" and not in a sub-folder then it

I have a template with 4 levels of bullet lists (with corresponding bullet
sublists). Everything looks perfect in the .dot file.
The template is attached to a doc. But on the doc, most of the bullet lists
and sublists are changed to numbered lists, and the indentation isn't ...

When I created a document, I was using 'Normal' view. When I open the
document in 'Print' view, I can't see some of the pages. They also do not
print.

I can't open any documents in Word, or insert files into emails using Outlook
Express.  I can open documents by going through My Documents directly, but in
Word all I get is "Not Responding" after a delay.  Anyone have any ideas?
