Is there a way of numbering equations prodiuced by the inbuilt equation
editor on the right hand edge of the page while retaining professional
formatting?  THat is in the form:
        y = sin (x)                        (1.2)

Is is possible to hyperlink from another application document eg web page,
powerpoint etc to a bookmark or heading (or even page number) within a word
document. I know this functionality is available for PDFs

I have a document where I need to increase the Readability ease (score) from
35.1 to 40.  It has been suggested that I remove some content (e.g. the TOC
and subtitles) to increase the reading ease.  When I attempt to do this, my
readability score goes down (e.g. from 35.1 to 32). ...

One of the ladies I work with (not an expert Word user) just had something
totally bizarre happen in a Word document.  I wasn't able to help her get rid
of it, so I'm curious whether any of you have seen this glitch before or know
what caused it.

I have a table of content created for document in MS Word.  I can navigate in
the document by using Control+CLICK to follow the link.  However, when I
create a PDF file of it, I'm unable to navigate from my table of content.

when i use the tracking feature to make changes in word and put the cursor
over my deletion it reads 'HP authorized customer, date, time and what i
deleted or changed.' When i make changes on docs on my laptop it correctly
indicates my initials "RS". How do i change it?

I can't modify existing documents, nor open a new blank document.  I've been
working all evening in Word and it has suddenly locked all my documents.

I made a merge document and got as far as looking at individual letters
before I closed it.   Now I want to go back into the template and edit it.  
But when I try to open it, it runs the SQL command and gives me the results
rather than the template.  I want to edit the template.  ...

I have Word XP installed on the computer. Occasionally when I look at
documents, the bottom portion is blacked out making it unoperable. I can see
the words when I use the View Document feature, but, if I go back to regular
view, blackened out again.

I am having difficulty with vertical alignment.  I am preparing a
document which I will have printed out 2 pages per sheet, and I want
the top and bottom lines both aligned from left to right across both
pages on the sheet, as one would see in a book.

I have one document that prints out one page at a time - meaning that it will
print page 1, pause print page 2 etc. All of my other documents print all of
the pages right after each other. I have looked at Page Setup, but cannot
find a setting that is making this happen.

I need to reorganize my folders.  How can I change the location of a folder
from being a "sub-folder" to a primary folder?
