I can't highlight a word and then just write over it anymore. The highlighted word stays there in addition to my new text. How can I change that setting back?

after inserting a picture into a word document and scrolling down the picture disappears. it's still embedded but the only way to see it is to reduce to 50%. any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated

I don't know what happened, I'm now in a world of word style complexity I want to leave. In my old world, I had 4 pre-defined styles, I used those styles. Those were the only styles in my menu and I was happy. If I modified them, that was fine.

I'm now using Word 2003 for writing user manuals. (I have updated Word 2003 with the latest SP.) I made a template several manuals ago that uses the cascading styles for heading 1, 2, etc. based on Shauna Kelly's article. Everything has worked

I need to be able to copy formatted text which includes cross-references, but without the link. The only Paste Special option which is close is pasting unformatted text. Even the bitmap options come up with the "Error!..." message.
