Some Japanese plant cultivar names would be more correct with a flat line over the O (as in 'Ogon') or over the last two o's in 'Shindeshojo'. I don't see these choices in Word's set of symbols or in the download-able international character toolbar.

For some unknown reason, my MSword has started putting symbols into my documents. I get dots where my spaces are, arrows where tabs are and little P looking things when i hit enter. It did this once a wicked long time ago, and I can't remember how to shut it

Whenever I highlight a word and want to delete it with the backspace button it doesn't work. Does anybody know why or how I can fix it? But the backspace button works fine when I delete each letter one by one.
