We have multiple versions of very similar word documents that we use
for marketing material and email to potential clients.
The problem is that with all these different versions, when we have to
update the documentation, we end up having to update several of these

I have to have text and page numbers starting with 1 then 2, 3, etc in my
header. I cannot figure out how to do this. If I insert page numbers it
deletes out my text and vice versa. The only way I can seem to achieve both

I have a Word document created using MS Office 2003 on an XP system.
This document has some text formatted using the font HE_TERMINAL that
looks like this
    CABLE_xx                           <connector_loc>

I'm using Word 2003 SP2.  I created a simple document template for use by
colleagues, but if their normal.dot template is using a different font my
template uses their font instead.  Can I stop this happening please?

Hi can anybody tell me please are there any templates to make greeting cards

WEhen adding quotes in Word 2003, I have to press the space bar to show the
quote. Can this be changed to be like other puncuation, and just press the
key once as with explanation?

Is there something that has to be done to enable full functionality of the
autocomplete for the date in Word 2007?  For some reason it works for
finishing a month, but then after typing a space word doesn't give the option
to autocomplete the entire date, as the help document ...

My company text style dictates that the fourth level numbering is indented
with the text immediately following the heading. Is there a way to use the
style setting (I already have it set-up as heading 4) and follow with normal
text? As the heading is a paragraph I do not see how. ...

In previous versions of Word, I could close a document without closing the
program.  In 2007, it seem to have only one [X] at the top right to close the
whole program.  How would I just close the document without closing the whole
WORD program?

I scanned in a document using ScanSnap, and converted it to a Word 2003 doc
using Abbyy FineReader for ScanSnap. It worked pretty well, but left patches
of brown background behind some characters, presumably where it wasn't sure

I do a monthly publication and have continually found that sometimes inserted
photos squeeze themselves to half the original size and the rest of the photo
area is black. Does anyone out there have a solution to this?  I tried both
just inserted and inserted in a text box.
