I have a 300 page document that I need to edit and format. It is a formatting
nightmare. Does someone have a simple procedure for building a NEW
style/template for such a mess? Surely someone has gone through this kind of
thing and has found some really neat ways of doing this ...

Are smart tags supported in Office 2007? I have one I used in Word 2003 that
does not work in 2007. Can it be enabled or does it have to be rewritten to
work with 2007?

I have a document with many figures.  The figures have style 'Figure' and
the figure titles have the style 'Figure Title'.  I would like to delete
everything else so I can review/scan the figures (with title) without
having to scroll through the whole document looking for figures ...

My images are slow to load and scroll down the page in Word from office
2003. This is purely on one computer. If the user logs onto another machine
on the network then it is fine.

Have just got new computer which runs Vista.  Word is 2007.
My documents from previous computer were created in Word 2003.  I have
backed them up and transferred onto new computer, but they are scrambled when
I open them.  How do I open them?

I'd like to place the ribbon of options, mainly in Word 2007, on the right
side of the screen. Nowadays screens being "panoramic", they have more place
on both sides than in the preset location of the ribbon. The page of the
document could be seen better. Please advice.
