I learned by accident that I can make a line (full width of page) by simply holding SHIFT + the dash key 9maybe I should say shift + underscore key. all I have to do to make the line is press shift and HOLD the underscore key for about 1 second whille the curse to starts to race ...

Whenever I now open a blank document in Word 2000, it opens with a word that I must have inadvertently typed and left on it and it got saved. How can I delete this so that I can now open a blank document that is truly "blank"?

When I open a Word document with a table of content I first see field code {TOC ...}. If I press shift + F9, i can see the content. Issue: i always want to see the real content of the table of content (and not the field code {TOC \O “1-3” \H \Z}) when I open the document.
