When I save a Word document the name used to default to the first few words

I can’t remove 3 different ICONS From my DESKTOP.  A message

When I print an envelope the return address does not appear on the envelope,
it is cut off, so I change the indent of the envelope so that it fits, and
make those settings my defualt based on my Normal templete, yet after
printing the envelope and going back into the settings, ...

I have always used Word and Excel.  The laptop I am considering only comes
with Works.  What is the difference - is there a compatability issue between
the two?  I do a tremendous amount of word processing and do not want
something that is going to cause problems.

As the subject says, for some reason it wont do it, I go to the folder
options in windows xp and set it to word 97 and it still opens in xp.
Why is this? Is there a way to fix it?

says that I must be logged on to Credential Manager to use this
functionality.  But I have never had to do that before.  Also Word files that
I know are in My Documents dissapear when I try and open them ...
