when my word opens I have a previously saved document opening instead of a
blank page. I have tiesd deleting it but it will not go away....HELP!

I created a flyer in Word 2003 and went to upload it to a print shop for
professional printing.  They told me they don't support .doc files and that I
have to transfer my file to a pdf file.
How do I save my .doc file to a pdf file?

I have been using the List Number 5 Style all thoughout my manual to number
procedures. Now it no longer wants to work. It no longer automatically

How do I resize a drop-down box?  It does resize automatically when making
the selection specified in the drop-down box, but I would like to set a
specific size for the drop-down box in my Word document.

I need to include a line graph for my paper but I have no idea how to make

I'm trying to work on a Final Report. It requires a TOC, List of Figures and
List of Tables. I have done the first two but can not get an automatic List
of Tables. Is there a way or do I have to manually type the list?  Thanks!

Word always starts with Welsh as the default language, despite me asking it
to be English UK, and having the language and keyboard designated English UK.
If I change the default language in a document it always returns to Welsh
and will not retain the English UK language.

Have created index, in which some entries are marked as appearing on many
pages in a row.  Yet, index lists every single number, not hyphenating for a
run of numbers.
In the samples, on the Index creating windows, under Print Preview, it shows

I have a word document that contains many hyperlinks to other doccuments
contained on my PC. How do I copy the word document and supporting documents
to a CD and still maintain the Hyperlinks?

I have setup a custom numbering style for a document based upon the built-in
headings.  I need to copy this document, hopefully with the styles intact, to
a computer at a remote location via the Internet.  

Can the harvard referencing style be imported or somehow used in Office 2007?

I used to write papers with Lex and my current institute requires papers be
submitted in MS word format. So I need some resources on word howtos such as
chapter/section/formula auto-numbering, cross references and so on. Hope

I was indexing the first chapter of a manuscript.  I then inserted at the end
the next part of the chapter and i want the index to simply continue on
indexing the new pages.  Most of my entries I've marked Mark All.  The index
is not taking on the new pages.  urgent help needed.
