Within a topic in any Office program (Word, Excel, Powerpoint ...) Help,
clicking on a popup (i.e., a definition of a term) produces no results.  The
properties (right-click on popup link) address is:
javascript:HelpPopup('wdtip9.hlp','"name"');
Italics has stopped working on TNT font22 May 2007 23:19 GMT8
Suddenly italics has stopped working for Times New Roman font. It continues
to work on other fonts. All other font characteristics continue to work on
Times New Roman - bold, bold italics. But when I try to italicize, it
switches to what appears to be an un-italicized arial font.
Using Built in List Styles22 May 2007 23:09 GMT6
when reading the MVP sponsored book, it suggests to use built-in styles as
much as possible (instead of making up your own names).
Most built-in styles are self-explanatory.  However, the ones for lists are
a little confusing.  There are 5 different ones (all paragraph styles)...
backspace key too slow22 May 2007 22:24 GMT2
When holding backspace and/or arrow keys the bar jumps one letter
at-the-time. Far too slowl, compared to the way it always worked.
What controls the speed of these (repeating) functions?
Thanks for help.

Can I set up a shared file to be read only to some users?22 May 2007 21:34 GMT1
I have a shared file that some users need to be able to amend the information
but other users I don't want them to have that capability.  Can I set up a
file so that you have to "sign in" to it basically, and that sign in will
determine whether you have authority to change it or ...
header too larger/long22 May 2007 20:20 GMT2
The header box is fully 1/3 of the top of the page.  I am unable to find the
reason.  I've turned on paragraph marks, searched for hidden text or
graphics....nothing seems to move the head back to the normal size.
Need to spell check in Portuguese...22 May 2007 20:12 GMT1
One of our associates really wants her copy of Word XP to be able to spell
check in Portuguese but I can't figure out how to make it happen. The
Portuguese language is enabled in the Office XP Language Tools via the Start

When using the Word Envelope Feature22 May 2007 19:40 GMT2
I have a letter on my screen and when I use the envelope feature under tools,
letters and mailings, envelopes, the text in the envelope window comes out
double spaced on all lines, rather than single.  This happens whether you
select the text or not.  Any ideas???!!!
Automatically updating style problems22 May 2007 18:25 GMT2
When I highlight a line of text and then apply formatting (such as bold etc)
it automatically applies the formatting to the entire document (rather than
just the highlighted text).  To just get the highlighted text in the required
format i have to press the 'undo' button.  This ...
Mutually Exclusive Check Boxes22 May 2007 18:24 GMT1
I'm trying to create a form with a series of 40 or so check box pairs.  In
each of the 40 pairs, I want the user to be able to select one option only.
I have used the macro described in
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFldsFms/ExclusiveFmFldChbxs.htm, and
How do you "Save As" in Word 200722 May 2007 18:19 GMT5
I'm sorry, but I have to say that the UI for the Office 2007 is completely
retarded. I used to consider myself an "expert" PC user, having used a
computer since the old DOS days, but I guess I'm just too stupid to figure
out how to do some basic stuff in Office 2007. Maybe I ...
