In Word 2003, I apply borders and shading to groups of paragraphs. If the paragraphs are all on one page (based on the text arbitrary flow of text in the document above this point), then I get a single block around the entire group. This is good.

Using the add-on found here (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=F1FC413C-6D89-4F15-991B -63B07BA5F2E5&displaylang=en) and no other version of Adobe product, I can generate a PDF from a Word doc (2007 version).

When you write the first few words of a sentence, then backspace to the start of the sentence, then change your mind and rewrite the sentence, Word assumes you were trying to remove the autocapitalise at the start of the sentence, and so Word doesn't autocapitalise the first word ...
