Occasionally I receive the following msg when trying to insert a clip art
image:
"Word cannot obtain the data for the [document path] link."
I've tried closing Word; I've tried signing off (we're on a network).

I have somehow set a default to show formatting symbols in my Word docs. It
has paragraph symbols, arrows for tabs and ... for spaces. What did I do??

There is a dotted line surround either the header or footer. How can I
re-size the dotted line?

I'm trying to add phrases I used in XP 2003 to my proofing and custom
dictionaries for Word 2007 with little success.  I have followed the
instructions with HELP...and this is not working. Please help!

I notice that an earlier query regarding the context menu available in Word
2003 confirmed that it could be customized (in that case to add Add Comment)
to the menu. I'm using Word (Office) 2007 on a machine using Windows XP Home.
I like very much the context menu that ghosts up ...

i have a difficulty to create  a microsoft word document in which i have to
insert a page number on page 4 but not on the rest of the above three pages.
On page 4 i want number 1. thats all my problem

I'd like to have 18 main documents (all different authors) that I can merge
into one parent document. Whenever one of the main docs is updated I want the
content updated automatically in the parent document (when opened). I've

1. In a form I would like to put an autofill field that will insert the date
the form was filled in. But when it is emailed to me and I open it, I do not
want the date to change to the day I opened the form(as it would if I used
insert/date time/ and clicked update automatically)

I need to see the last page of a document first every time I open word. Can
this be done and where.

My question is:  how to identify consecutive captial letters (ideally,
entirely capitalized words) in a string --- either by using Edit/Find or by
writing a VBA subroutine.
