I want to skip every other page when I number - like number page 1, skip next page, then number the 3rd page as page 2. Or maybe custom number as 1, 1.5, 2, etc?

I am producing a Manua in which I want to put a revision date at the bottom of each page, so that in the future, as an item on a particular page is amended, the revision date at the bottom of the page is also amended. Footnotes are not applicable.

I am usually using Word in Vista. The typing fails to keep up and often doesnt appear at all - in this note as well! Symantec say I do not have a virus and uninstalling Word and reinstalling has not worked. Has anyone met this problem? DB

Every time I open a Word document the "template help" sidebar pops up. I've changed the view in "toolbars", and created a new Normal.dot document, but nothing seems to be working. Anyone else have this issue?

Can the default be changed for saving documents? Instead of .docx, back to .doc? When I forward a document with a .docx extension, the receivers seem to always have problems opening it. Is there a solution, other than manually changing the extension each time?
