Is it possible to pass a parameter to a document so that when the document
opens it knows how to execute the mailmerge.

When I insert text form field, a grey square parenthetsis [    ] appears
whether the form field shading is on or off.  Locking the form did not make
this [  ] disappear.  I used this feature in other documents and I can get
either grey or complete blank using the form field ...

Word 2007 - apparently the default is set to double spacing - I can change it
within the document but then when I start a new document it is double spacing
also.  There must be a way to set the default to always single space but I

with read-only access. Do you want to save changes in a template with a

I made a template for a word doc for my sister-in-law.  After using it for a
while she somehow turned on a facility that shows the print control
characters.  Haven't been able to find where to turn it off.  Any ideas?
