I'm using Office mac 2004.  I have edited a 2 books from pc origins and
created 2 large files ( ) for some reason the larger one is not saving now..
it will not save as a rtf or as a pdf.  Because I did not originally set up
the file I am not sure if something has been activated ...

I'd like to make a suggestion--in future versions of Word, it would be very
nice if Word encoded the locations of soft page breaks, so you could find
them in a document. Encoding hard page breaks is already present and helpful;
I'm very surprised they've never encoded soft breaks ...

(I'll try again, since the Word version was cut off on my first try.)
The method provided for changing the default font in Word 2007 just doesn't
seem to work for me.  I got to the place where it said, "Do you want all new
documents to use Gautami for the default font", clicked ...

When I use Word 2007, it does not allow me to slect text by clicking the left
button or selecting with a tap in the text. I was wondering if there wasa
setting that I had changed unknowingly or somethign of the sort. I am able to
use the mouse every where but in the document ...

I tried using the fieldcodes, but couldn't get them to work.  Is there an
easy way to start page 1 on page 2 and the total pages will not include the
title page? I have a total of 55 pages.  Page 1 is a title page. What I need
is page 1 of 54, etc.

Frantically trying to finish a PhD doc in my last week before returning to
work, but table styles refuse to "save" into a .doc file (both Word 2003 and
Word 2007 compatibility mode).

How do I apply the default paragraph style to text which has been altered
with custom formatting? In 2003, I could highlight a paragraph which
contained words that were manually formatted (e.g., bold), and alt+O, S would
give me the Styles dialog in which I could select "Default ...
