I noticed the default in checkboxes in forms is an x. Is it possible to change this so that a checkmark appears instead?

I am at work and I am finding that Word is starting to lag a lot. I did some searching and found that people had to go into task manager to manually close down any left over WINWORD.EXE processes. I think that is the root of my problem--I am always finding winword.exe processes ...

One of the fonts we have a lot of documents saved under has disappeared and I find it without purchasing a new download. The font we are trying to restore is Lucida Handwriting. Any ideas on how to get it back?

Among all the functions and options on MS Word 2007, I can't find the apparently simplest one: "Delete." If I have documents there that I no longer need, how do I get rid of them? Even the right side of the mouse doesn't evoke "delete" while used in the MS Word program.

I've written a 105,000 word manuscript with only two spaces at the beginning of each paragraph, but there are supposed to be five spaces. Do I have to go through the whole manuscript and change each paragraph by hand or is there another way?
