How come I can't erase selected text with backspace anymore?18 Sep 2007 18:04 GMT1
I have this annoying problem where I can't replace the selected text in word
with something else simply by typing it in after I select the text with my
mouse.  I'm reduced to having to cut the text before I type.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?

five documents worked on at the bottom of the File Drop-Down.  WHERE IS IT?

I am using  Word 2007  with Windows XP- Pro. New computer. Fresh install.
When spell checker comes up, it finds a misspelled word or grammar, however

I have two questions pertaining to autocorrect:
1. My previous laptop expired, but the hard disc still runs.  Is there some
way to retrieve my autocorrects from that drive that were for Word 2003 and
transfer them to a new computer running Word 2007?

When using Word 2007, when you type "2007" and press the RETURN key straight
after, it automotically inserts todays date. This is annoying especially when
typing Financial accounts! Is there anyway to disable this feature?

I loved autocomplete on past versions of MS Office Word. It makes me wish I
hadn't bought and downloaded Office 2007.
