Is there a way to type info in margin area without a "text box"?  (For
instance if you want to edit and add some info in the margins -- possibly an
asterisk outside of the text?)

I have a Trust document in which the trustee is sometimes a man,

ideas on how I change it back so that it saves it as a word doc?

when you "open" a document is there a way for it to open from the last folder
you already opened?

I am creating lines that need to be outlined numbered such as:
1.  This is the first line.
    a.  This is the second line.
I have selected outline numbered from the FORMAT>BULLETS & NUMBERING menu.

Whenever I open a Word doc written on another computer with the same Word
2007 on it, several odd symbols such as @ appears. The most prevalent probem
is that all the 's turn to ='s.  e.g. Bob's becomes Bob=s when the doc is
opened.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program ...

Hi. I'm using Microsoft Word 2003. I'm creating a automatic table of contents
based on a style. This generates a table of contents just fine. However some
of my table captions are as follows:

Is there a way to yellow highlight a word in a Word document, so that it
calls the users attention to that word on the screen, BUT that the yellow
highlight does not show on a printed copy of the document?

In a document that consists of about 20 chapter files, a number of pieces of
text--such as common procedures and lines of code--each appear in more than
one file. What I'd like to do is:
o Put all the pieces of text that appear in multiple locations in one

When I insert a cover page and replace the text placeholders with my name and
my company's name, the information is fine until I click the Save button.
After I click Save, the placeholders lose my information. Why?
