Is there some way to disable the graphic compression settings, so that the
graphics will never be compressed. Are if that's not possible, change it so
that it does not default to "Automatic perform basic compression on save." I
have to spend a good bit of time preparing each graphic ...

User has Word 2000 with SP3.  This problem only occurs in Word, not in any
other applications.
System WAS working ok, but appeared to suddenly change.  Tried a new copy of
NORMAL.DOT, and checked all settings appear to be at defaults.  No viruses,

the ribbon is difficult to manage and takes time.  How do I set up customized
toolbars like I had in the earlier versions and get rid of all the crap I
don't use?

What I want to do:
Send a thank you card to someone via eiamil which will allow them to print
it if they want to.
Questions:

When I select something and try to delete it using the backspace button, the
selected text stays.  I’ve seen this before and managed to fix it, but I no
longer remember how.  If you have any ideas of how to fix it or of where I
should look to fix it, please tell me.

How can I make my changes to a document that I did not author appear in a
different color than all the other changes that were made by other reviewers.
Right now, everything I change appears in the same colored text as everyone
else's.

I can't find where I set Word to make sure that there are 2 spaces (not just
one) after  every sentence in a paragraph.  TIA.

Is there a new virus out there that causes word documents to zoom to ludicrus
sizes as soon as you open them?  It even does this in print preview.  Is this
possibly a new major virus?  Is there a fix for it?

I am working in Word 2003.  I'm typing a list of names and addresses of
companies, with spaces between each company.  For some strange reason, the
text I'm typing will suddenly jump to the next page, even though there is
still plenty of space on the page before.  Can anyone help? ...

When I type 1/4 it automatically changes to a slightly different appearance
or style, but when I type in any other fraction, for example 3/32, it stays
the same. Does anybodu know what is going on?

I'm new to Word 2007.  What setting controls functions like sample text
(=lorem())?  On one Word 2007 install =lorem() works, but on another it
doesn't.  I've been through the settings on both and I don't see why one
would work and the other wouldn't.

I have a document that I received that has a macro in it.  I do not need the
macro however I am unble to delete the macro without entering a password.  
Does anyone know of a way that I can delete this macro out of the document?  
I believe the password was set up in the visual ...

Is it possible to place any text next to page number in the Table of content
so, that it repeats automatically in each row of the table of content? For
example,
Title1........Page 1

Hi I cannot seem to remove a couple lines that I initially created to
seperate text. I cannot select it and deleting the area around it does not
work. Also copying and pasting only the text into a new document imports this
too..
