I have some documents which were created with Mac Word (don't know which
version) - and I am trying to open them in Windows Word (Office 2003).  
The original MAC files don't have any file extensions - I tried manually

All of the sudden I can't insert pictures into Microsoft Word (I use 2002
version). I have read almost ALL of the questions and answers and I've tried
everything. The placeholder in the options folder is not checked and the
Drawings is...so, that's not it. I've tried the control

I'm creating a form using Word 2003, and one of my text fields needs to have
a maximum length of 30 words.  
I can only set the maximum length in characters - can I set it to count words?

I'm looking for some samples of master documents (w/sub-documents).  
Preferably some that have TOC's in them.

Does anyone know how to set Compatability to Recommended options for Word
2003, when opening any existing documents?  By code rather than manually.
Also similarly for unchecking the "Disable features introduced after Word
97" box?

why doesn't word identify mispelled words?

When I have open Word window and want to switch to different application and
then return to Word again it takes some times up to 15 seconds to get Word
window active and ready for editing.  Situation is worsening when several
Word’s windows are open.

I really, really like the Full Screen View option in Word 2003. My workplace
is switching to Office 2007 and from the glimpse I've gotten it seems that
this feature no longer exists. Am I right? There's something in Word 2007
called Full Screen Reading View, but that's based on ...

somehow word does not open normal.dot at start up - how do I correct this?

Our WORD 2007 program in showing the default font setup for Envelope
Receipent addressing as +Heading.  If I search the computer and even WORD
2007 it does not have a font by the listing of +Heading or even Heading.  IF
I change the font to anything other than the +Heading it ...

In Word 2003, I can add to a toolbar a New Menu (Customize > Commands tab >
New Menu) to which I drag my favorite fonts (from Fonts in the same box) for
easy access. Can this be done in the constricting Word 2007?

How can I change the defaults on tables?  For example, just inserting a table
has the option "allow row to break across page" checked and the top and
bottom margins aren't quite as large as I would like.  I'm getting tired of

I have custom sized paper that I would like to print on.  I cannot use the
envelpes or labels option, but have no idea how to customize my paper size.
