Plain text (milling machine program) file is very large. It can take 3-5
minutes to open. In a simple text editor it is almost immediate. Is word
trying to format every page in the background? Is there some way to disable
all background functions?

Hi all.  
I used to run Office 2000 but uninstalled it and installed Office 2007.
When I run Word the Spell Checker does not function.  When I try to run it,
the computer tries to install it and then asks for the Office 2000

I used word to do a brochure, 3 columns and changed the margins.
I cannot change back to a regular word document using the reverse method.
All I can get is a word document with skewed margins that can't be moved.
If I try and set regular default, I get Rt margin to large...

My spell check will not recognize any misspelled words it always says, " Word
has finished checking the selection. Do you want to continue checking the
remainder of the document?" This stupid error is ruining all of my
assignments.

I have macros in a template created in 2003.  I have loaded the template into
ADDINS and it shows on the screen with all my macros.  I have enabled macros
in the Trust Center.  Yet I still get "the macro cannot be found or has been
disabled..."

Does anybody know what this means?  I do realize CHOICE is misspelled.  I

Is there a keyboard shortcut for the tilde character, that will place it
directly above a letter (e.g., n)?  I'd rather not have to remember a
