Am attempting to move a text document from "My Documents"  to "Word 2000 SR1"
to edit the text in the document, but when transferring the file from my
documents to word, the text appears as unintelligible letters and symbols. I
have previously transferred documents successfully, ...

When I send a job to print, the font  (Times Roman 12 True Type)  bunches up
and is not readable.  If I remembered to save the document before printing I
can close Word, reopen the file and it is fine
However if I did not save I have to select all and change the font to Aria.  

For some reason, my Word document is now auto-magically changing what were
static hyperlink URLs into dynamic ones that keep changing on me.
Instead of staying http://<whatever>, they have all changed to reference
files on my C: drive!

I am actually trying to convert Corel Word Perfect Labels to an Excel
spreadsheet. Is this even possible. I have already converted it a word
document.

I may get to reedit a chapter that's already gone to the typesetter,
who has converted it (from whatever it originally was) to LaTeX to
suit his hardware.
Can Word2003 import a LaTeX file (can it read its formatting codes?),

I am using a table to keep the document in sections - I have also created
two indexes (front & back) to reflect the headings - originally I defined

I have an unwanted line going down the left side of my document.  I have
tried the format - border and shading option, but nothing seems to work.

I use Microsoft Word 2003.  I currently have SEQ numbers before all of my
figure and table captions.  Is there a way to hide this caption number so
that it doesn't appear on screen or when printed?  Hopefully there is a quick
and easy solution.  Thanks!

How do I get my size, type, and date modified headings back in my open dialog
box?  All I have now is name and I want to be able to sort by these other
headings also.

I moved and somehow my 2003 word is no longer on my computer. Going through a
nasty divorce. Maybe it got deleted. Not sure! I can't find my copy and I am

I'm trying to create a template from a document (which I've done before in
windows 97).
I can save it as a Word Template (.dotx) easily enough; but then it doesn't
appear in the list of templates when I open a New file.

Unlike everyone else on earth it seems, I DO want my docs to save as docx
