We recently formatted our computer and have installed office word 2007, which
is still new to me... Text and writing wise, it seems fine, but when I want
to play around with photos in a document, for example, dragging them from one
corner of a page to the other, or resizing them ...

Someone sent me a document that she could not add comments to.  I opened it
and it was grayed out for me too -  New Comment was unusable on the Review
ribbon.  I opened a blank document and New Comment was available.  Somehow I
got the New Comment "live" on her document but when ...

Uses of Draft Mode (called Normal pre-Word 2007)10 Jan 2008 02:41 GMT4

Preventing users from editing toolbars10 Jan 2008 01:16 GMT4
As the subject says really, is there any way to prevent a user from
editing/resetting a toolbar that you have configured in a specific way ?

How do I get rid of hover balloons in track changes?10 Jan 2008 00:05 GMT4
Extremely distracting to review a track changed document, and when my cursor
stays in text for over a second, a balloon pops up showing me exactly the
text I'm trying to read in the document itself.  I want those balloons
disabled, but can't figure out how to do it.  Help!

In earlier versions of Word, one could open the "Open file" dialog box and
search through files for different attributes like "Text", "Last modified",
"Contains" and many other items.  Where is that ability in Word 2007?

spell checking: false negative for "Subject-verb agreement"09 Jan 2008 23:47 GMT3
"As the compile progresses, each object is overwritten by the next."
the spell checker treats "progresses" as a plural noun.
this means that it complains that its attendant verb, "is", has the wrong
number.
