When I select a block of text in Word, ithe program asks me if I want to delete Y/N, when i hit the "Delte" key. Other people I know do not have this "feature". I just want Word to delete the text without asking.

I have Office 2007 and am running it on an HP Pavilion dv 1000 laptop with 1.5 g of memory. There is a distinct delay when toggling between open Word documents of up to 10 seconds before the alternate document can be edited. In Word 2003, this was instantaneous! Whats wrong?

I have a rather large word (2003) document, about 150 pages long, most of it is text. It has headers and footers and standard template with small graphic. the general size of the document is 12Mb, which is managable.

I cannot always replace the placeholder text with customized text. When I save the document, some text reverts back to the placeholder text. Any suggestions as to why this is happening and what can be done about it?
