Message Numbers In This Group - Confusing!14 Mar 2008 23:08 GMT1
There are many times that I will view this group's topic list via
Google Groups and the Messages column will read 1 New of 1.
In every other group that I read, that indicates the start of a new
thread. However, when I open those posts in this group, it is often

I cannot find anywhere the screen that allows me to set the defaults for how
word opens, what the page looks like etc.  some of the things I change stay
changed some do not, for some reason it now goes to Normal view when I open
it and not print layout view which is what I like.  ...

I repeatedly use the find command to find overused words in text. I have had
inconsistent saves in 2003 and 2007 editions of Word.
I had some success in 2003 when i would use the highlite feature and then
just saved the whole document. It worked sometimes.

I have headers that contain text styled as "Header 1".  When I insert a Word
Table of Contents (TOC) I expected this header text to be collected as a TOC
entry but it is not.  Only "Header 1" text from the main body of the document
makes it to the TOC.

I'm working with Word 2003.  I have several tables with only three
rows.  I need to copy the values with formatting from the last cell in
each row into the first cell in each row.  If I do only one or two,
