when creating a document...i try to use the cut,paste or copy feature but the
home tab will not allow me to click on them. They are shaded out so they are
not available for me to use.....

I have downloaded the Word Template "TAP for Channel Partners".  The
docuement does not allow any changes.  Under the Developer tab for Protect
Document it shows unrestricted access.  
How do i unlock the template so i can make changes

How can I recover a document that wasn't saved when I clicked the exit button

While saving a new document, I accidentally saved it under an existing
document's name and replaced that existing document with the new one.  How

characters that are inserted are Greek letters not English letters. I have
tried a number of options but apparently have not hit on the right one.

For some reason, when I open any Word document, I get a graph paper grid
pattern in the background. If I go to Format->Background->No Fill, it goes
away, but it shows up again each time I open a document.
I'm using Office 2000, if that's any help.

I want to be able to generate a table of contents using styles, but only have
the paragraph heading appear in the TOC.  Example:
1.  Title of Paragraph.  This would be the text of the paragraph, but I only
want "Title of Paragraph" to show up in the TOC.
