I'm trying to write an outline for something, and I've gone to format and
chosen the outline style I want.  The first line shows the number, but after
I type and press enter, the next line does not continue in the outline format
(i.e. no number, no letter, no indent, no nothing). ...

I have word file with an embeded excel worksheet, the default size shows only
9 or 10 rows, how can I increase the number of rows the object displays?  
When I increase the height with mouse or with (Format>Object>Size) the object
just gets bigger (fonts, data, etc) it does not ...

When I open word and the new page comes up it is in centimetres. How can I
change it to inches ? I have tried page setup for a regular letter size of 8
by 11, but the only listing is also in centimetres. Can someone help ?

I often have to tell spellcheck to 'ignore' when using Word 2007.  Every time
I re-open the doc I have to re-command it to ignore the same words (Proper
Names, or slang).  Is there a way to make this permanent, other than adding
the words into the dictionary?

I have a spreadsheet with column for No. (4-numeric digits), model#,
shipdate and six columns for order#. (Example below)
For each No., there are 6 order# assigned and will be filled in.

Word documents  can contain information about previous versions of the
documents.  I am being told that we need a "scrubber" utility to clean our
documents, but another source tells me that I just need to "accept changes"
on the final version and that removes all prior version ...

Within the last two weeks I can not open a Word document by doubleclicking
the icon of the document. I have to open Word, then navigate to the location
of the document, and then doubleclick the selection. This is annoying. I get
an error message telling me Word cannot find the ...

I am using the captioning function in word and it usually does OK, but in
some instances it gets the nubering out of order.  I have ensured the anchors
are on the same paragraph and the figures or equations are below one another

Just switched computers and now run Vista with Word 07. Saved my files from
my old computer (XP, Word 03) to a flash drive, then to new computer. Some of

When inserting a caption for an equation, you can currently only insert in
below or above the equation. An equation number should however be beside to
the right of the equation. Is there anyway to do this?

I have a document createdin 2000,  in an older version of Word with tracked
changes. In Word 2003, how can I accept all changes at one time. I see no
option in the menu to 'Accept All'. I know older versions of Word used to
have this feature.

In my new version of word, it says "endnote web" instead of just endnote on
the tab and I can't get it to work right in the new version.  Does anyone
know how to change the tab to just endnote?
