Why doesn't the font size always change when applying a style?
I select a section of text in a MS Word document (2003 or 2007) and apply
the desired style to it, most of the formatting is applied, but the font
and/or font size doesn't always change.  This happens with some default ...

I know there is a way to open Word without it opening the blank new document,
I just can't remember how.

I have searched for the answer to this but to no avail.  In Word 2007 Print
Layout hypekinks appear in the form {HYPERLINK "http:// etc.  In Page Layout
one sees them as they would print.  How do I get them to show as they will
print in Print Layout?

I just download the Microsoft add in save as pdf and I am unable to save word
documents to pdf.  I receive the following message: "the export failed due to
unexpected error"

Word doesn't seem to be working for me. When I open a document, or start a
new one, the only way to get to text is to use the up, down, left, and right
buttons. The cursor doesn't work. You can't left click or right click, making
highlighting text or going to a certain area ...

I have no problem in word 2003 typing in 10² or 10³ but I can get no higher.
I have a requirement to type 10 to the power of 8. Is this possible and if so
how do I do it?
The method 10e8 is messy and I just can't bring myself to use it!

How do I automatically remove line feeds in a Word document without going
through and manually deleting every line break?

I have allowed only certain parts of a word document (Not a docx) to be
edited via Word 2007 in compatibility mode.
Problem i m having is when I open that document in WOrd 97 or Word 2002 It
says "This command is not available because the document is locked for edit"

I am creating a form in which I want to have a simple check box before each
of several choices.  I can't find an icon for this.  I know it is in older
versions.  I assume that I am just missing it as I search.

I was creating a table of contents (TOC) spanning multiple docs using RD

My TOC came out OK but when I put my cursor on the entries in the TOC that
were from my other documents I was not able to CTRL-click ...

I cannot find out how to permenantly change my default from centimetres to
inches on my ruler in Office 2007. Can anyone help, please?

I am using Word 2002 SP3. I had to reinstall windows 2000 Pro from a Dell
reinstallation cd (W2K +SP2), before I could reinstall Office XP. I went on
Windows Update and also downloaded all of the Hotfixes and updates since SP2.
(It was alot).

In Word 2007, the Cross-Reference dialog box shows only some of the Figure
captions and many that appear do so twice. The TOC and Lists of Tables and
Figures also have omissions but not so many. The document was converted from
Word 2000. I'm on XP. Any ideas, anyone?
