Help, I lost a document and when I tried to recover it came back with squares
and all this foreign fonts and typing can anyone make a suggestion to recover

I am trying to enter data onto federal forms.  There is generally a yellow,
highlighted box and the cursor appears.  However, when I try to type
anything, I get a "ding" and nothing will enter.  Any ideas?

My version constantly has trouble finding and opening files, then sais Word
is Not responding.

I downloaded High-Priority/Required updates to
   desktop running Office XP Pro  2002
   notebook running Office XP Pro 2003
and then downloaded the Comp Pack to both machines.

I wonder how you can search for acronyms [2 or more capitalized letters]
without simply finding the first letter of each sentence?
