Why doesn't spellcheck check words in text form fields?
What can I do to make spellcheck check words in text form
fields?

Guys, I'm looking for German spellchecker for Word 98 and
Word 2000 (you know, my daughter is studying German and
so...). I think that the right file is MSGRGE32.DLL but,
may be, some other file is required.

In Word 2002, nearly every time I open a new document,
the spelling errors are not visible. So I go to TOOLS,
then OPTIONS, then SPELLING AND GRAMMAR tab. I see that
the "Hide Spelling Errors In This Document" check box is

my language for spellcheck is ste to english (canada) but
my language for my thesaurus is for some reason set to
English (u.K.) this is obviously causing me problems, and
I'm unable to change the setting simply by changing the

Office 2K was loaded on a workstation recently and the
updates were installed at the same time. User indicates
that when working in Word the spell checker is not

Is it possible to create a custom dictionary without the normal range
of words in?  I want to create a dictionary and and add my own words
to it and check against these only ?
Is that possible?

When I put words in the exclusion dictionary, The grammar
checker can make suggestions which includes these words.
Therefore if I was to change them to the grammar checker's
suggestions they would then show up as being spelt

I am using Word 97 and Windows XP Pro.  I can use S&G
within my account, but other members cannot use S&G.  
Under Tool/Options S&G is greyed out.  Appreciate any
feedback to fix this situation.

I have Office 2003 Pro installed.
For some reason today it decided to start always spell
chcking in English (Austrailian)
I cannot do anything to get it to go back to English (US).

Using an English XP Pro OS with Japanese IME on a notebook, I get the errors
MSGR3JP.DLL and MSGRJP32.DLL files are missing when i spellcheck. Can I copy
these files from my Japanese OS at work or will that stuff up my software? I

I've changed language to English (New Zealand) in
regional settings.
I've set language to English (New Zealand) in Word.
However, Word keeps defaulting back to English (US)
