I have done all of the settings that I can think of, but
I still cannot get Word to stop changing my initals from
IHS to HIS.
I've checked the box to ignore uppercase, added IHS to my

Hi all. We use Word 2000 on WinXP Pro. We'd like to be able to type a word
and have it replaced by a symbol: For example, we'd like to type chkmrk and
have it replaced with the check mark symbol, with the font size and color
set to 18 pt. blue. Is this possible? Thanks in advance  ...

Is it possible to spell check a forms field?
I'm running 10.1 under Mac OSX but version and platform don;t seem to
make much difference.

I have a danish office XP and a danish Office 2003 but how do I
install french spelling, it says in help files it is included in the

I received a large file from the UK, when I opened in word
2002 and performed spell& gramar my screen displayed that
I was missing these files

I am using Word in my Windows and I am having a problem
with my lettering . Everytime I write a letter it makes

Word 2000 auto detects if I write a document in another language than my
own, e g english. Can that feature be added also in Word 97?

Word 2002 does not underline misspelled words in files
that were created on another computer. Running spell check
only gives the message "no mispelled words found".
However, when adding text to the end of the document, the

I'm using Office XP SP2 on a W2K Pro SP4 box and spell
check is not working on a current document that's already
been saved.  I ran detect & repair and spellcheck works on
all new documents but not in the particular existing

We have two terminial servers under server 2K, without the
metaframe piece.  One server is perfect.  The other has
some issues with compatibility scripts or rights, perhaps

Hello - all the medical terms dictionaries that I can find
online appear to be for US medical terms and drugs. Here
in the UK we have different drugs and terms. Has anyone
got/seen a good UK Medical Terms add in for the Word spell

How can that be forgotten? From what I was told is that
we need to buy another program?  The person that came up
with that one, should be but on trial. Opps forgot, lets
make them pay more for what was always included.
