Spell Check when document is forms protected30 Apr 2005 17:26 GMT3
I have some forms done in Word.  When my clients use them they
complain that they cannot use spell check.  Is there a way to make
spell check available when the document is forms protected?
Thanks,
Word 2003 doesn't recognize spellchecking from Word 200225 Apr 2005 15:43 GMT5
Whenever I upgrade to a newer version of MS Word, I have to rerun the
spellcheck on previously-spellchecked documents. It does not automatically
recognize a previous version's completed spellcheck. This is not a problem
for short documents, as they can be spellchecked quickly. ...

Too many spelling errors!21 Apr 2005 21:09 GMT5
I make a living as a translator, and my usual working procedure is to
open a document in my source language - say, English - format the
whole document as my target language - Portuguese - and start
replacing the English text with my Portuguese translation.

Hi folks. I am using Word 2K (9.0.6926 SP-3) on XP Pro SP-2. Recently, I

the problem has lead me to the Tools/Language/Set ...

I find it hard to believe that there is no efficient way to retrieve the
ranges from a proofreadingerrors collection.
Using, For Each, For Next, GoTo or GoToNext is very slow.
My main test document is a 168 page document that has 267 spelling errors.

I posted this problem in the public.office.misc group but a MVP suggested

Generating suggestions from a custom dictionary11 Apr 2005 18:05 GMT1
I'm having a problem getting other MS applications (like Excel and Outlook

custom dictionary. The problem is that they don't use the custom dictionary
to help them suggest the correct spellings.
Listing the spelling errors10 Apr 2005 18:20 GMT2
Is there any way to get the spellchecker in Word to just list the words it
thinks are spelt incorrectly? I have a very large document that I want to
spell-check, but it has a large number of very obscure proper names (such
as place names) and scientific names that can be ignored, or ...
