Something I quite miss from Word 2003 is that I could right-click the
"Spelling and Grammar Status" icon on the status bar and hide spelling and/or
grammar errors right there.
In Word 2007 it's a three-step operation: click the  Office button, go to

A friend has a word document that is clearly written in English, yet
when trying to spell check it, it spell checks in/for Spanish. We
changed the Language under Tools to Enlish, checked and unchecked the

Although I have very carefully followed the very clear instructions from
the MVP site http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/ExcludeWordFromDic.htm,
I cannot get Word 03 to recognize as spelling errors, for instance, Noel
in French (which should spell Noël).

I type a few proper names that sometimes I would like in all capitols.  When
I do this, word always changes the proper name to just the first letter
capitolized.  How can I stop this.  Examples: when I type Gull, it stays
Gull; when I type GULL, word changes to Gull;  when I type ...

I'm helping an user with this issue.  She has a doc that the spell check
window opens but is not "jumping" to the error, so the page does not move.  
for example:   if error is detected on page 25, the current view on the
screen is on page 1.

I get next message in MS Word 2003:
Cannot find proffing tools for Slovenian. If you have the proofing tools,
try installing them or re-installing them...

As my machine is occassionally used for typing tests I need to be able to
turn Autocorrect off during these tests.  I can turn autotext off through
Tools / Autocorrect Options / Autotext (tab) and then remove the check from
'Show AutoComplete suggestions'

Does anyone know the rules for using a comma vs. a semi colon in a sentence
such as:
The colors are: (a) red, (b) blue, (c) yellow.
and
