When I started using word years ago there used to be a tab somewhere that
changes highlighted text from CAPS to lowercase or vise versa or even other
styles ie initial caps etc wher has this gone to in word 2002?

I'm finding that all my new documents have spellchecking turned off in some
way that I cannot see how to turn it back on.
Some example scenarios:
Create a new document. Type in some garbage. There's no red underline.
