my thesaurus/spell check/synonym function is acting up. i have a document
wherein in the first half of it, i find synonyms for words and the thesaurus
works. but on the lower half, synonyms nor the thesaurus come out for words i
select! whats wrong with it?!

Help, my spellchecker indicator has disappeared (in the lower task bar of MS
Word). It always showed the selected language (English or German or French).

Hi, my Word (2003) has an auto spelling check turned on. This is fine
enough, but it is using American English spelling while I prefer British
English spelling (eg. intialise instead of initialize, and many other
relatively minor examples).

I use Win XP Professional  and Word. When I type a Word document I get lots
of indications of spelling or grammatical errors - usually coloured wiggly
lines, which I don't want. I know I can get rid of these by clicking

I accidentally added a misspelling to the custom dictionary in Word 2007 by
right-clicking the Word and clicking Add to Dictionary. How can I remove that
word from the dictionary so it will continue to be marked with a red wavy
underline? Thanks in advance.

I just upgraded to word 2007.  My spell check works but it's dictionary
doesn't contain most common words like what; how, when, etc.  It offers
alternatives to my spelling with words I've never heard, like a foreign
language.  Could it somehow have been set up to something other ...
