Spellcheck set to English UK but checking is in English US!11 May 2008 14:04 GMT9
I have Word 2002 and Tools | Language | `Mark selected text as: English
(UK)' is highlighted.  `Do not check spelling or grammar' and `Detect
language automatically' are unticked.  In confirming the settings I have
clicked the Default button and a dialogue appeared asking for

I have a user who's document is not catching all the mispelled words. I
copied some of the words to a new document and ran the spell checker -
received this message:
"The spelling and grammar check is complete. Text marked with "Do not check

I've installed ... and reinstalled ... and reinstalled Office 2007 Prof.
Plus, run Microsoft Update several times and been told I have everything
(including the Language Pack and Update), and still don't have any Spell
Check capabilities.  Instead, I get the message "Cannot find ...

I've just installed Office 2007, after a reimaging of WinXP Pro.  Office 2003
is no longer present.  I've copied my old Custom.dic dictionary to
AppData/Microsoft/UProof under my user name.  Word 2007 seems to read this
dictionary in that my many specialty science words are not ...

I have replaced my old computer using Word 2000 with a computer with MS
Vista and Office 2007
I need to bring my Word 2000 custom.dic into Word 2007.  The MS site gives
the method using 'add dictionary' but when I try to do that it fails
