I am working in Word 200 and have over 100 figures in my
document however some captions are incorrectly numbered
(e.g. Figure 28..Figure 30,31 etc. (skips figure 29)) no
matter how many times I update the field or the entire

All I want to do is draw a line in the text of a
document.  I get a huge box with "create your drawing here"
What's going on? why cannot I just draw a line as I've
been able to in any other version of Word?

Does anyone know how to disable anti-aliasing of pictures
in Word 2000? Using Insert-Picture to add screen captures
to a manual results in fuzzy graphics. They are OK to
print, but produce bad results going to PDF.

Recently changed to XP Pro and office 2000, word art and drawing objects show up as B/W on the doc however apper in color on the fomating window, help to resolve.

I have a large doc generated from a database.  The doc

I am a new user of 2003.
I have transferred a report from XP that contains charts (enhanced metafiles from Excell) into 2003.
In XP I can see the charts whereas in 2003 I can't.  All there is is a blank box.  The only view that shows the charts is Reading Layout.

I was looking at some .jpg images in "My Pictures" in MSWord & tried to look in some different files & now the .jpg files in the thumbnail display don't show & when I click to open them MSWord 'converts' them to computer jibberish.
What do I need to do so I can see these pictures ...

I've been told that some later versions of Windows Word contain Display
PostScript, which, translated, means that Word can display an EPS file
without the file needing a preview.
Is that true? And if so, does it also require (for example) XP?

When I try to INSERT a PICTURE from a FILE into Word 2000,
the picture being in BINARY format, I get the
message "Your Log file C:\Program Files\Common ...... Is
