I used a CD to pull in some clipart. It looked fine on the screen, but when I printed it replaced the picture with {SHAPE/*MERGEFORMAT}. Any ideas?

I need to find a half-filled circle (like in Consumer Reports) as a symbol rather than as a file. I've been able to find a full circle and empty circle, but not half-filled. Does anyone know of a font that has this, or how I could import as a symbol? Thanks!

When I insert a jpeg image from my picture files in word, or even a piece of clip art from my Word files, it shows up nicely on my screen, but it won't print, and doesn't show in print preview. Only the text shows up. I have scanned two books on word and all they saw is use the ...

We have developed a letterhead design for a client that he wants to use in his office electronically. The design contains a screened image in the background. I want to place this image in the background of his template so that he can type over it. We are using Word 2000.

At home, I use Office ME and I am happy w/ it. In my office, however, I have to use Word 2002, no choice. When I draw sth, say an arrow over a table, i find it irritating that the size of cells should be affected. Sure it doesn't happen w/ ME. Is there any way I could avoid it?

I typed a document and pasted a photo at the center. I wanted a diagonally colored background. I have already checked the Background Colors and Images, but it won't remain checked nor will it print the background. Why?

In 2000, this worked great. In 2003, when I paste link a range of cells from Excel into my document, it comes in bright yellow and I can't find a place change this.

I inserted a graphic in a word document and it has a line under the graphic that I can't take off. It is like it has a permanent border unlong the bottom. Help!

Does anyone know how to import a JPEG file into a Word doc? I am able to save it but I cannot manipulate the JPEG file at all to size it or place it. I am unable to copy it onto my Word doc. I am running Windows XP. Any help is appreciated!!
