Word 2002:
how to align the bottom (rather than the top) of a frame
line so it may be positioned precisely in given location
of a page?

I am running Windows 2000 and Office 2000 with all latest
Service Packs.  We use Photoshop CS to scan images and
then save them as tif files.  If I save the tifs with no
compression I am then able to insert them into MS Word

I teach and often i design handouts that require students to put their names
and other info on a line.  For example: Student
ID:____________________________
In word, that line above would cut itself out after about 10 character

Is there an easy way to allow intersecting autoshapes in Word 2003?
ie, avoid stacking of autoshapes and objects?  I can get objects and shapes
but
I can't seem to avoid stacking??  Am I doing something wrong or is this

I use a programme that produces EPS grapghic files. How do I import and
display an EPS graphics file in in Word 2000? Word displays text' cannot show
graphic as no preview loaded with the EPS file'.

Why won't all pasted gif's in show in a document. For instance, if I copy the
Microsoft Office Online logo and paste in Word, it shows fine, but if I do
the same with f.i. the Amazon logo it doesn't show. Even though its only 1.5
kb.

I want to do in Word what someone else has done in Quark.  What I have
is a food menu where the various categories (salad, appetizers,
