I am trying to set a picture as a background for company letterhead.  I found
that the only way to do it properly is by inserting it into a header or
footer, but then the picture gets very light and I want it to be its original
transparency.  Is there an easier way to do this or ...

the center of a cell. the cell is formatted so the text is vertically
centered in it. When I put the rectangle onto the cell, the text is
displayed above the rectangle just as if the cell text vertical ...

Hi,  Can you tell me if an animated clip can be inserted in a word document?  
If so will the animated portion actually work?  I know the clip art will work
in PowerPoint but just trying to determine if it works in MS Word.

Anyone every had all of their equation objects get converted to picture type
objects? If so, why did this happen and can it be un-done?

after inserting wordart or picture i cannot make size smaller than its
original size with mouse.instead it appears to be bigger.

I created a word art image and need to convert it to a gif.  I did
several of these, successfully,  4 or 5 years ago and cannot, for the
life of me, remember how to convert it.  I use word 97 and have tried
everything I can think of.  Can anyone help?

I have been frustrated inserting graphics into Word XP.  They only partially
show.  Uncompressing seems to have an impact and sometimes will result in my
being able to see the image, but as soon as I go to another graphics, I
cannot see the graphic I lest.  I have disabled pop-up ...

When I try to use clip art they all come up with a musical note and wav.  
They say dglxasset....I've tried to delete temporary files and to compact in
