I am making a transfer for a t-shirt with wordart and I want to have a border

I'm trying to create a tutorial document for end users.  I screen print the
view I need and paste it into paint.  I crop exactly what I need from the
image and copy and paste into Word but all I see is the frame.  Why?

I would like to select certain objects and lock them.  (keep them from being
moved or deleted)  These objects can be anywhere in the document and can be
text or graphic objects.
Using the protection feature to lock sections of  the document won't do

I have a huge document (70 pages).
I attached all the pictures (jpg files) as linked files.
When we relocate the document with the images all the links are broken.
I wish the picture files links to be relative to the document.

Is it possible to insert the actual "thumbnail" of an image into a Word
document? As opposed to inserting "picture" & having to then re-size each

After I've inserted a picture or Clipart into a Word 2003 document, it
doesn't always display.  Sometimes it will in Print Preview, but not always.  
The picture is there; I know because I see its editing framework (for
