When I apply formatting changes (left/right justify, font size changes, etc.), they apply to the whole document. Clicking "undo" applies it to only the teext that was selected. This extra step is obnoxious. Is there a simple preference somewhere that I can't find that makes it ...

My word document shows 'shape \*mergeformat' where I have pasted in pictures. How can I get the pictures back? In print preview, the pictures do show up. But I need to be able to edit the pictures but pulling them up in the document itself. Any help will be appreciated.

I am trying to lay out a book in Word 2003 (no service packs). The layout is landscape, two column with several odd page section breaks separating the chapters. There are about 100 x 6Mb .tif pictures that I am attempting to place by Insert/Linking. There are two problems:

Is it possible to lock a picture to a point such as the header in a document without protecting the section? This would help a lot because when the document is protected all sorts of commands are not available and I need to create a template with a logo that cannot be tampered ...

I use to be able to sign my signature to daily reports in Word format by using my mouse some tool in Word. However I have forgotten how to do it. It will provide my own individual/personal and recognized legal signature.

How do I import an eps file (adobe) into Word. I have tried and nothing shows up on the page, but the program acts like something is there. I do not get an errow message and I get boxes indicating something may be there. The file I am importing is a tansparent file.
