I am writing a company’s step by step test manual, which involves lot of
graphics.
These are the steps I took, where I am getting this problem:
Insert a drawing canvas in the document.

I have a company logo that is used on every letter.  Since i got this new
computer a month ago each time I pull up a saved letter to re use the graphic
does not show..,.sometimes it comes along after a while, but Idon't always
have the time to wait.  What is blocking it??  

In Word 2003 when I click on the line drawing tool it automatically opens a
drawing canvas that says "Create your drawing here."  How do
I get it so that the box does not to open up?
I have tried turning it off in "tools" "options" etc. which works

using Word XP on Windows XP
I want to control the line color and height of the footnote separator in
my Word template.
I thought to use the Drawing tool to do this, but drawing tools cannot

Using Word 2003, I have created several documents with screen prints pasted.  
When I re-open the Word document, the screen prints have been
replaced with a black square instead of the picture, when I click off of it

Using autoshapes: How to draw a semi circle in word?

If I am using a screen shot when typing an instruction sheet, is there a way
for me to number or bullets some of the areas in the screen shot to highlight
those areas to match the written instruction?

Is it possible to insert an image onto another image without using a text box
or is it possible to hide the lines of a text box?

I would like to be able to frame individual text characters inside geometric
forms such as a circle, hexagon etc....

In the word 2007 beta when you place a basic shape in a drawing you can not
alter its Z order currently... this is pretty stupid, I would imagine this
will be fixed soon but until then do something please!

I want to use a page border for pages that introduce the sections of my
document. This works fine. However, for the actual document pages, I want to
use a horizontal line at the top and bottom that matches my page border, and
there is no match to the one I'm using in the ...

Graphics will not display, or display very slowly, or partially display in
print layout mode. Printing is OK and so is Print Preview. Any ideas out
there?

I am wanting to insert a .mdi picture from a file into a word 2003 document,
but word does not recognize it and asks me what I would like to convert it to
(none of the jpeg, etc options work). Is there a way of making word recognise
.mdi files?
