When I pdf the document, the background becomes banded. Any ideas on how to

the Microsoft Word Picture has a drawing grid with minimum 0,01mm grid
distance. Is there anyway to minimize the grid distance?
Actually, my main problem is how to place objects in picture more precisely.

I have copied some graphs from an Excel spreadsheet to a Word document. I did
it by marking the graph in Excel, CTRL + c, switch to Word, Edit, Paste
Special, Enhanced Metafile.
The resulting document when saved takes up approx 2.4MB of space for one
